Namely Brastagi area, traveling from city to field Brastagi take 1.5 to 2 hours using a private vehicle travel. With public transport can be taken within 3 hours, because the distance field trip to Berastagi town about 80km away. along the way we can enjoy beautiful views to the left and right beside the road we could see the scenery of tea plantation and tobacco, and daily activities of society northern Sumatra.
Before entering the Brastagi we will pass Kaban ginger, here a lot of tea plantations and tobacco plantations, many traditional markets around Kaban this ginger. Activities of traders and buyers in the market eligible to be photographed, and the people were very friendly with the arrival of tourists and tourists who see. After that we went on a trip to Berastagi, here the air was getting cool and cold. He wanted to stop by dikedai coffee to enjoy coffee and the view around the mountains.
Berastagi is a very beautiful area, the area which is located in North Sumatra that have a height of 1400 meters above sea level. The air here is very clean and cool, this

because it is surrounded by mountains and forests - forests that are very beautiful. Does not feel the trip as long as 1.5 hours a lot of fun. From the hills we can enjoy views of the green and could see the volcano and Sibayak Sinabung. Sibayak volcano is still active today and has a height of 2000 meters, the location of this Sibayak mountain not far from Berastagi.
Not only that, Brastagi very famous for vegetables and fruit - fruit, fruit that is very famous here is passion fruit. Passionfruit Brastagi very popular until the whole of Indonesia, and many made quintessence syrup. Indeed dibrastagi if we do not enjoy the fruits Brastagi did not complete it's like, let alone cold weather and cool very supportive of us to eat more food.
After that we continued to Tongging attractions, there are a large waterfall that is Sipiso Piso waterfall. Piso name means knife, this waterfall is sharp and in surrounded by a deep ravine in the northern Sumatran tana, the distance to the location of this waterfall that is 24 km from Kabanjahe. and is located around the edge
Northern part of Lake Toba. Disekiling has views of waterfalls and gorges are very beautiful, high-piso waterfall Sipiso approximately 130 meters. I am very interested to get to this waterfall, as the distance from the top down this waterfall is pretty much when on foot. Finally I decided to walk down a path toward Sipiso piso Waterfall, to walk a steep curve and this should be very cautious. Many paths that have been damaged and not infrequently we have to crawl and clinging to the side of the road, it is advisable to use shoes and drinking water to taste. Fortunately in every way a lot of residential houses are made for the rest of the walkers feet, so if you are not strong or sudden rain during the trip we can get enough rest.

Arriving based Sipiso Piso Waterfall, lost our sense of fatigue because of the river and waterfall scenery seen directly is very beautiful. Eve is radiated very cool because debris from the ears of water waterfall wet our face that makes us linger longer live under, after taking some photos we finally continued our journey upward. At the time of behind the new road was tired, because it does not feel way to the waterfall is down. And now we have to climb up and over.

Once above the struggle, we are in the Tour Tongging, tongging situated on the edge of Lake Toba in the north near Sipiso piso waterfall. It was from here is very beautiful view of Lake Toba, toba lake flanked by two mountains of rock along the bottom. We unwind here, after struggling to climb out from under Sipiso piso waterfall. Like tiredness disappeared instantly when we enjoy the beauty of Lake Toba, Berastagi leave a lasting impression for me. One time I definitely will be back again.

Tabuik Sumatera Barat

Tabuik
Massacre Hussain, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad in Padang Karbala by Yazid ibn Muawiyah troops from Ummayah dynasty, history of deep incised strokes for Muslims in the world. In Pariaman, West Sumatra, this event is celebrated by performing a ceremony, Tabuik.
Derived from the word 'tabut', from Arabic that means parading, Tabuik ceremony is a tradition on the west coast, West Sumatra, which was held very day. The ceremony was held at the Asura day that falls on the 10th of Muharram, the Islamic calendar.

Blonde Sense of Grief

That said, Tabuik taken by adherents of the Shia of the Middle East to Pariaman, as a war memorial Karbala. The ceremony is also a symbol and expression of a deep sense of grief and respect for Muslims in Pariaman against Prophet Muhammad's grandson. Because the excitement and uniqueness in every pagelarannya, local government and even then enter Tabuik ceremony in West Sumatra tourism agenda and held every year.

Two weeks before the parade
aan Tabuik ceremony, residents Pariaman been busy doing a variety of preparations. They made as well as various snacks, pastries and Tabuik typical. In this period, there are also people who run a special ritual, which is fasting.

In addition to the naming ceremony, Tabuik also pinned to the names of objects which become an important component of this ritual. Tabuik amounted to two pieces and made of bamboo and wood. The form of horse-bodied animals, human heads, a sturdy and wings. By race

Islam, this beast called Buraq and is considered a magical beast. On the back Tabuik, made a milestone as high as about 15 m. Tabuik then decorated with red and other colors and will be in the wine later.

On the appointed day, since 0600, a crowd has been felt throughout the City of Pariaman. All participants and completeness of the ceremony getting in the town square. The other residents gathered on the roadside to watch the carnival Tabuik way. Not only ordinary citizens, government officials also attended the ceremony's most colossal implementation in West Sumatra.
Just in time, Tabuik began appointed and carnival began. One Tabuik appointed by the bearers, which accounted for 40 people. Behind Tabuik, the group of people of traditional dress that brings your instrument

a variety of percussion music drums, helped fill the ranks. During the procession took place, all carnival participants chanted, "Hayya Hayya Hussain Hussain ...!" As an expression of respect for the Prophet Muhammad's grandson. Occasionally, the procession stopped and dozens of people who play a typical martial arts into action as she accompanied Minang tetabuhan.

As the sun sets, the procession came to an end. Both Tabuik brought to shore and then floated out to sea. This is done because there is confidence that this Tabuik thrown into the sea, may dispose of bad luck. In addition, this moment is also believed to be the time Buraq fly to the sky, carrying all kinds arakannya.

When compared with Tabuik ceremony that was held ten years ago, the existing Tabuik ceremony was different. At that time, Tabuik made by two groups of citizens from different sides and then pitted against one another. In the process, not infrequently followed by fisticuffs the residents of both camps.

Unique Cultural Attractions
Now, the element of violence that had been found on Tabuik had been removed. The ceremony is more directed to an interesting cultural attractions and can be consumed by the tourists. Besides watching the procession ceremony Tabuik, the tourists can get around in traditional markets and bazaars are held in line with this celebration. Enjoy also salaluk and rakik Maco, typical food peddled Pariaman a lot on the beach. Unfortunately, until now, the ceremony Tabuik have not worked optimally. There are still a number of problems were encountered in its implementation, especially in terms of funding.

Tabuik celebration this year that fell in February for example. This event almost failed to take place. Local government even announced through mass media such cancellation plan. However, thanks to the sincerity of the people Pariaman to hold this event, Tabuik was eventually could be held and can be enjoyed by all visitors.

Travel Journey : Aceh and Sabang

Aceh and Sabang

The religious community, it is situated coastal area, the landscape is so charming, and the long historical journey that has been passed, to make Aceh a region that has keunaikan Parties and its own peculiarities.
Pride of Acehnese architecture is one of Baiturahman Grand Mosque, the mosque is located in the center of Banda Aceh, which is adjacent to the Pasar Aceh, the mosque that stood firm and maintained it was still usable until now. so it is a mosque and an icon of pride the people of Aceh, this mosque survived the tsunami disaster had flooded even as high as 3 meters at the time, but this mosque has a lot to save the people of Aceh on tsunami disaster. Grand Mosque has a long historical journey, first in 1873 the mosque was ever burned at the Dutch attacked the territory. But the anger of the people of Aceh to make dutch rebuild the mosque in 1875. This mosque has 5 domes, cupolas and towering main mosque in the interiors decorated with carvings of many unique and interesting. No one mosque is an icon that people in Aceh, because of the beauty of architecture and sturdy construction of this mosque. In front of the mosque is a small pond of lotus, a distance of 20 meters to the main gate of the mosque, although the weather is not favorable. I keep taking photos of this mosque, and at good weather. I will return to capture the most beautiful mosques in the city of Aceh.
Banda Aceh city also has the State Museum that is located not far from the Grand Mosque, the distance is only 3 km away and we take just minutes away. Inside the museum there are many writings of Acehnese culture, dance, crafts, ornaments, and custom engraving. Inside the complex there is a building of this museum is very striking, and seen clearly seen from public roads. Namely Rumoh Aceh, Aceh's traditional house in the form of narrow fronted houses on stilts, and decorated by exquisite wood carvings and motifs unique Aceh. Traditional house looked very well maintained, and the museum was also well maintained. Many antiquities collection items owned by this museum, including the Bells CakraDonya, this bell was a gift from Admiral Ceng Ho in 1414. This proves, in Aceh since the former is a city and a very busy port visited by traders who come from various countries corner. I was reminded by Name Naggroe Aceh Darussalam Aceh language means the State of Aceh peace and prosperity. The abundance of nature and the earth Aceh create Netherlands interested to trade with Aceh, over time increasingly gripped the Earth Netherlands aceh, monopolized and controlled the land that there is diAceh. It is said that Aceh is a very difficult area conquered the Netherlands when compared with other regions of this dinusantara.
Having satisfied the tour of the historical and cultural city of Aceh, we move on to other historical. Who escaped from the Tsunami that structure's history, this place is situated in the middle of town and the plateau region. Structure's history is a historical site in 1600, this building is a relic of Sultan Iskandar Muda. Formerly the Kingdom of Aceh and the kingdom wither or Malaysia as we know it today is very closely related. Structure's history surrounded by beautiful garden. Structure has shaped like a hill and fortress sturdy, at first I did not understand this building previously used and serves as a fine. Because of its strange and not like buildings such as general building, right next to this building there is a museum containing the structure's history. In 1608 the Sultan Iskandar Muda has a wife who he loved very, queen named Princess Phang very homesick for his hometown, surrounded by hills. While the court here there are not many hills, the Emperor eventually build an artificial mountain that resembles a hilly kampong pages. To be the consort to play above the hill and will not forget his homeland, was the Empress is very pleased and excited to present and always spend time when his twilight to enjoy the sunset over the hill structure's history.
Does not feel it was getting late, after a tour of the city to enjoy cultural and historical city, we were very tired and hungry. We'd love to taste the traditional cuisine of Aceh, Dijakarta we often try Mie Aceh. Now it's time to taste the crab hmm Original plus our stomachs rumbling imagine the pleasure, hawker centers and specialties are in Pasar Aceh at the center of town, indeed in the daytime market is a bustling trading center. After the night was turned into the central market Food, one of the typical cuisine of Aceh is the spice of spices and a slightly spicy flavor dilidah. We tried Mie Aceh, Martabak, curry goat and Vegetable Pliu. All the dishes that we ordered was a very unique cuisine and famous in Aceh. We ordered it deliberately so that we can enjoy all, a sense of Mie Aceh was not so different than the one we've had dijakarta. But different is martabak, here Martabak omelet shaped like a mix of flour. Goat curry was very delicious, the aroma of spices, the taste is slightly spicy sauce and tasty goat meat is very pronounced. For the lovers of curry goat not to be missed, and the last food we tried was the vegetable pliu. Bersantan vegetable has a distinctive taste, aroma of spices typical of aceh and spicy sauce that makes us even more appetizing meal with other dishes. Indeed, one of our main goals is not only a tour of sightseeing the beautiful and nice place. But we are also a culinary tour, it feels incomplete if we did not try something that is typical of the regions we visit.
One of the beaches that we are headed today is ngaa Lhok beach, west beach is situated on the edge of Aceh. Long way to the beach about 40 minutes through the vehicle, a distance of 17km from the city of Aceh. The beach is quite famous and is a favorite tourist spots of Aceh society, unfortunately, when she reached us there. Many tourism facilities and infrastructure building this beach destroyed by the Tsunami disaster, the beach is not exhausted Lhok ngaa my utmost admiration for the beauty in every corner of the beach. This beach is so natural and still a virgin, sand bordering the ocean, green plants and shade trees as a backdrop of this beach is surrounded by high hills. This beach we can do activities such as fishing, sailing, diving and sunbathing on the sand, not far from this beach there is a Andalas cement factory. By the time I get there this plant is not operating and is being rebuilt, this factory was badly damaged by the Tsunami disaster that made this plant does not operate again. Position Lhook nga beach is located diteluk the left and right beside the shore of the lake there are many small lakes are utilized by local villagers to earn a living, the beauty of the lake around the shores of the lake add to the attraction of this beach, this area represents a complete tourism package mix. In addition to beaches and lakes, this region also contained Seulawah Golf International. Unfortunately the golf course with panoramic backdrop of hills and the sea is obsolete and not maintained. Perhaps because the first region prone to conflict between GAM and the government so that many tourists are reluctant to come to this stricken area. This tourism region devastated by the Tsunami disaster, not only lodging and restaurant were damaged. But many houses were destroyed by the Tsunami.
Area of this tragedy, many buildings are razed to the ground exhausted. But there is a pretty strange occurrence for me, during my many trips to see many buildings were destroyed. But the mosques and worship places are next to people's houses were not destroyed, remained firm will stand as if not affected by the Tsunami disaster. Likewise in Lampuuk Beach area, I see there is a mosque which still stands firmly beside the building when the right and left out were swept by the Tsunami. Could this be signs of God's greatness, but this time the construction of houses, infrastructure and facilities began to be rebuilt. Institute of foreign aid agencies help build housing and school buildings in this area. Once satisfied we traveled throughout the region tomorrow we plan to go to Pulau Weh, but we have to rest and return home this afternoon and prepare for the trip tomorrow.
When I was showing at 07.00 am, we were getting ready to the port of Ulee lhue due to reach weh island can be reached by using the Motor Ship. To get to the island we can through the two ports. If we want to use a car to get there we must go from the harbor ferry Malahayati contained, use the ferry fee of Rp 300,000 and take a trip for 4 hours more. Meanwhile, Ulee dipelabuhan lhuee we can use a fast motor boat Pulo Rondo, but the only passengers who can ride motor boats. 1 ticket per person amounted to USD 50,000 and a very quick time it took only 1 hour, we decided to use the KM Pulo Rondo because of the schedule departure of the ship is at 09.00 am. And we've rented a car at P Weh rates to USD 400,000 per day.
Along the way to the port of Ulee lhuee we see on the right side of the road there are many homes and buildings destroyed by the tsunami, the area is one of the worst affected areas due to its proximity to downtown and is 5km. Many development built by foreign aid agencies, but this area has not been quite crowded with people. They are still traumatized by the Tsunami disaster, after reaching the Ulee lhuee we pay for tickets for 4 people. Hours of departure at 09.00 am we still have half an hour, so we get around to see the beach Ulee Lhuee that was so beautiful. This beach at low tide appears to coral reefs in some parts, dikejauhan looks beautiful panoramic hill. Dikejauhan we see the 100-meter-high lighthouse tower look crushed and only remaining pillar of the lighthouse, there are views which I have never seen before. Besides the lighthouse left the mosque there is a building whose height is only half of the lighthouse is still sturdy and upright, while the houses around the mosque had been razed to the ground and lighthouses that have been destroyed. No wonder I kept stopping with views that I see. At that time we were allowed to enter the ship, because soon the ship will depart. I had a chat with the pack Dato Guard ship which happened to he survived the Tsunami, he told his neighbors that there are survivors and witnesses when the tsunami came. He saw the waves that swept inland from the sea as high as nearly two times the height of the lighthouse tower in this area, I can not imagine the disaster that occurred at that time.
The day was fairly sunny weather is not like yesterday, it was time we set foot in the P Weh. The island is known as zero point kilometers Indonesia. to mark the establishment of the monument by the Government of Indonesia as a sign of the start of the calculation of the distance and vast territory of Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke. Our first objective is to Monument zero miles, we really want there to gain a foothold in Indonesia kilometer zero. Long way to the monument for a half hour, the road which goes up at Sabang smooth and large, that add to comfort of our trip. Along the way we were treated to panoramic views and beautiful hills, winding roads that we see the hills and blue sea dotted by islands. Once we are at the foot of the hill monument is guarded by zero kilometer checkpoint. To get to the top of the hill there is only one path that enough for 1 car, did we play the hill after we come out with a different path. So there is no car in the opposite direction with us, after we pay for tickets USD 2000 per person and over the hill we continue the journey. The streets are very narrow with the right and left road is a thicket, the rate of vehicle can not drive fast. Because we are very careful through this narrow road, fortunately there are no trees that fell during our trip. Amid our way blocked by a bunch of monkeys, apes monkeys apparently are already accustomed to human presence. Many tourists who go to this place, and they ask for food along the way, unfortunately we did not bring snacks.
Finally we reached the monument zero miles, over the hill I could see the vast expanse of ocean and island of Sabang in the distance. We had time to catch the moment at the monument this kilometer zero, then we headed down the hill and the prettiest beaches on the island of Sabang this. That is shore Iboih and Gapang, when she reached there, dazzling white sand. This beach has soft sand, the waters filled with colorful coral reefs and beautiful fish fish milling. Many tourists from abroad who visit this beach, they generally come here specifically for diving and surfing. We wanted to get around the beach to enjoy the natural beauty of the island of Sabang, many boats are rented specifically to get around the middle lauit and we can see the beauty beneath the sea. We rented a boat that has a glass center that works to find out your beauty clearly underwater. For an hour we were hired at a cost of Rp 80,000, all the way to ketengah lauh we saw many fish and coral reefs. Almost all of the basic sea filled with colorful coral reefs, along with a variety of fish and sea animals which are also rich in color. Very clean and clear, that dangkat diarea clearly visible tinge of green seaweed looks dikemilau blue ocean. P Sabang is the main destination of foreign tourists, especially those coming to the island of Sabang to enjoy nature and underwater beauty. It is said that the beauty beneath the sea at this island is one of the most beautiful in the territory of Indonesia, and most sought-after by foreign tourists. Unfortunately today was not a lot of foreign tourists who visit the island of Sabang, because the length of martial law that makes them reluctant kepulau Sabang.
Iboih beach facilities are very complete, the existence of both luxury and modest hotel is there, the restaurant is clean and complete, the facility places of worship and many others. Create developing beach tourism, we have time to eat and rest for a moment this beach. We do not have much time this island of Sabang, because we do not plan to stay this island. KM Pulo rondo will return to Banda Aceh at 05.00, while time is showing at 02.00 long journey back to port takes approximately one hour, our next trip to the city of Sabang. Along the way we see many luxury car chases, we headed to the sale of used cars. And one of the uniqueness of the island of Sabang this is the number of luxury cars are sold very cheap here, as the region enacted tax free zone. So that luxury cars like BMW, Mercedes, and other european cars sold at half the existing market price dijakarta. But do it all once you take this car out of the island of Sabang, because it will be subject to luxury tax is 100% of the price of his own car.
Sabang Island even if hit by the tsunami disaster, but the buildings and areas affected are not many destroyed. The only area in Aceh that there was no serious damage here, is due around the island there are two troughs weh deep enough. So the tsunami waves retained in both troughs, casualties of the tsunami victims only 11 people and several hundred buildings were destroyed.
We finally reached dipelabuhan balohan, after buying a ticket for the same price as we bought it diaceh. I think we'd love to stay here longer to enjoy the natural kenindahan Aceh and Sabang, after a few days to enjoy it feels like to return someday. hopefully the security and peace on earth Aceh is getting better, For the beauty and panorama can be enjoyed by us together.
